Statheros Receives AFWERX Phase I SBIR Award

Statheros Begins R&D of automated mission manager for microservices-based emso systems

April 14, 2021 – Statheros announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Phase I in the amount of $50,000 to investigate the feasibility of cemaphor – an automated mission management software for Microservices-Based Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (MB-EMSO) mission systems – and to investigate cemaphor’s potential to fill capability gaps in the Department of the Air Force (DAF).

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, which change the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small businesses and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering ‘The Open Topic’ SBIR/STTR program in 2018 which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded. Through this Open Topic Phase I SBIR, Statheros will continue our journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America.
